Does JetBrains accept crypto?

We found no crypto option. JetBrains' Terms and Conditions of Purchase say: "JetBrains accepts major debit and credit cards (collectively, “Payment cards”) for online orders via third-party payment gateway providers, including, but not limited to, Adyen and PayPal." Its sales help centre lists the cards it takes (American Express, Discover, Diners Club, JCB, MasterCard and Visa) and confirms PayPal for online orders. Organizations can also pay by purchase order, or by wire transfer against a proforma or purchase invoice for annual subscriptions. Buyers in Mainland China can pay through Alipay or WeChat Pay.

None of these pages mentions cryptocurrency, and on 19 October 2026 a search of JetBrains' sales help centre for "crypto", "cryptocurrency" and "bitcoin" returned no articles. Resellers set their own payment methods: JetBrains notes that "an order placed through a reseller falls under the purchase terms and conditions applied by that reseller, including pricing, payment and delivery terms."

Routes to try first

These cost nothing on top of JetBrains' own price. Check them before you pay anyone a service fee.

  1. Check whether you need a paid license. CLion, Rider, RubyMine, RustRover, WebStorm and DataGrip are free for non-commercial use by individuals, such as learning, hobby development and open-source work without commercial benefit. IntelliJ IDEA and PyCharm can switch to a free core feature set after a trial or subscription ends. JetBrains' subscription agreement also gives a one-time free evaluation of each major version, 30 days unless the product's documentation says otherwise.
  2. Pay JetBrains by card or PayPal. If your card is declined, our guide to JetBrains payment failures goes through the causes JetBrains lists, from 3D Secure to international payments.
  3. Buy from an authorized reseller in your country. JetBrains lists them on its resellers page. This covers annual subscriptions, personal and commercial, but "Personal subscriptions through resellers aren't available in the United States."
Skip cheap "lifetime" codes and shared accounts A JetBrains personal license belongs to one person, and JetBrains says you "can’t share, transfer, or reassign" it. An activation code or account login sold far below JetBrains' price is not a license in your name.

All Products Pack or a single IDE

JetBrains sells each IDE on its own, and all of them together as the All Products Pack: "All JetBrains IDEs in one subscription". JetBrains says the pack includes 10 IDEs, and the eight we sell separately are among them. Paid pack subscriptions "include a JetBrains AI Pro license", and you can "use multiple IDEs at the same time or run multiple licensed copies of the same IDE", on one machine or several.

A single IDE costs less if you work in one language or stack. With Personal pricing through us, the pack ($313.95) costs less than three $114.45 IDEs ($343.35) or IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate plus one more IDE ($323.40), while two $114.45 IDEs ($228.90) cost less than the pack.

Personal or organization license

Every JetBrains product on our site comes in two editions, and JetBrains draws the line by who pays:

  • Personal, 1 year: "Personal licenses are for individuals who pay for them with their own funds." You can use it for any work, but only you can use it, and "Businesses can’t buy or cover the cost of personal licenses."
  • Organization, 1 user, 1 year: a commercial license. JetBrains says commercial licenses are "bought by the company and can be used by any one employee, contractor, or other individual the license is assigned to." The company can reassign it, as long as one person uses it at a time.

If your employer pays for the license or reimburses you, choose Organization and give the company's name for the order. If you pay with your own money for your own use, Personal is the right edition, and it costs much less.

How a reseller order reaches your account

We don't buy a license in our own name and pass it on. We order from an authorized JetBrains reseller, with your name, your email and, for an Organization license, your company's name on the order. JetBrains explains what happens next: "You’ll get your license certificate from your reseller. We'll send the certificate to your reseller electronically, and they’ll pass it along to you."

The certificate email "contains details about the order and a link to your JetBrains Account, where you can access and manage the licenses online." Open the link, sign in to your JetBrains Account or create one with the same email, and accept the product agreement. Then download the IDE from jetbrains.com and sign in with that account to activate it. For an Organization license, your company assigns the license to the person who uses it.

The result is a regular JetBrains license. JetBrains' agreement for individual customers "applies whether you purchase a Subscription directly from JetBrains or through an authorized JetBrains reseller or distributor", and JetBrains says licenses bought through an authorised reseller "provide the same functionality and support eligibility as licenses purchased directly from JetBrains".

The perpetual fallback license

A yearly subscription leaves you with a working IDE when it ends. JetBrains' help centre: "If you purchase a yearly subscription or keep renewing a monthly subscription for 12 consecutive months, you get a perpetual fallback license when the 12 months are complete. The license allows you to continue using the latest major version of your tool that was available when your subscription started or older versions."

Newer versions need a new subscription, and cancelling or downgrading within the year means no fallback license. JetBrains AI Pro, included with the pack, "doesn't have a fallback license". IntelliJ IDEA and PyCharm can also switch to their free core features, which keep getting updates.

Subscriptions bought through us don't renew automatically; to keep getting updates, order again before the year ends. JetBrains gives personal subscribers a continuity discount on renewals ("save up to 40% off the subscription price simply by renewing"), while our prices are based on the first-year price.

Limits to check before you order

  • Personal editions are for private individuals who pay with their own money.
  • No Personal edition for customers in the United States. JetBrains doesn't offer personal subscriptions through resellers there, and every order through us goes through a reseller. An individual in the US can buy a personal subscription directly from JetBrains.
  • Sanctioned territories are excluded. JetBrains "cannot do business with or accept payments from individuals or organizations under sanctions, or from territories restricted by the European Union, United Nations, or the United States of America", and it suspended sales in Russia and Belarus in March 2022. These rules apply to orders through us too, and no payment method changes them.
  • One user per license. For a team, order one Organization license per user.

Pay in USDT through Unboxkey

Unboxkey is an independent service, not affiliated with JetBrains and not a JetBrains reseller. If the routes above don't suit you and you prefer to pay in crypto, we order the subscription for you from an authorized JetBrains reseller.

  1. Choose the product and the edition on its page: All Products Pack, IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate, PyCharm Pro, GoLand, PhpStorm, Rider, CLion, DataGrip or RubyMine.
  2. At checkout, enter the email of your JetBrains Account. In the note, give your full name for the license, and for an Organization license your company's name. The name on the order becomes the licensee.
  3. Pay the exact total. USDT on Tron (TRC-20) is preselected; USDT also works on Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Solana, TON and Polygon, and you can pay in USDC, BTC, ETH or another listed coin. How to pay explains networks and fees.
  4. Once your payment is confirmed on the blockchain, we place the order with the reseller in your name, and the license certificate reaches you by email.

Each total is JetBrains' list price plus our 5% fee, shown as one number. If you can pay JetBrains or a reseller by card or PayPal, buying direct costs less. How it works covers each step of an order.

FAQ

Does JetBrains accept cryptocurrency?

We found no crypto option. JetBrains' terms of purchase name debit and credit cards through payment gateways such as Adyen and PayPal. Its help centre also lists PayPal, purchase orders and wire transfer for organizations, and Alipay or WeChat Pay in Mainland China. A search of its sales help centre for crypto, cryptocurrency and bitcoin returned no articles.

Is the All Products Pack cheaper than buying single IDEs?

It depends on how many you need. With Personal pricing through us, the pack costs $313.95, less than three $114.45 IDEs ($343.35) or IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate plus one more IDE ($323.40). Two $114.45 IDEs ($228.90) cost less than the pack. Paid All Products Pack subscriptions also include a JetBrains AI Pro license.

Can I order a personal JetBrains license through Unboxkey from the United States?

No. We order every JetBrains license through an authorized reseller, and JetBrains says personal subscriptions through resellers aren't available in the United States. An individual in the US can buy a personal subscription directly from JetBrains.

What happens when the year ends?

After 12 months of a yearly subscription, JetBrains gives you a perpetual fallback license for the latest major version that was available when your subscription started, and older versions. Later updates need a new subscription. We don't renew automatically, so order again before the year ends if you want to keep getting updates.

What happens if you can't buy the license?

If we can't buy your license, we refund the full amount you paid, in the same coin, with no deductions.
