How to pay with crypto

A step-by-step guide for your first crypto payment: which coin and network to choose, how to send the exact amount, and what to do if something goes wrong.

Same network on both sides

The network you choose at checkout must be the network you send on.

The full amount must arrive

You pay the network fee, so the amount that reaches us must match the checkout.

Pay before the timer ends

For BTC, ETH and other coins whose price moves, the amount is locked for a limited time.

Before you start

You can pay from a crypto exchange account or from a wallet you control. Both work the same way for us.

From an exchange account

Crypto held on an exchange. You send it with the exchange's Withdraw function.

  • The exchange covers the network fee and usually takes a withdrawal fee from the amount you send.
  • Some exchanges hold a first withdrawal to a new address for a security check, which can delay your payment.

From your own wallet

An app or device where you hold the keys. You send with its Send function.

  • You pay the network fee in the network's own coin, so keep a little of it in the wallet (see the fee table below).
  • You choose the network when you pick the account or token to send from.

No crypto yet? Buy USDT on a crypto exchange that serves your country, then withdraw it to the address on your checkout page.

Step by step

The checkout guides you through the same steps. Here is what each one means.

  1. Choose the coin and the network

USDT on Tron (TRC-20) is preselected. Change it to the coin you hold. The network matters as much as the coin: USDT on Tron and USDT on Ethereum travel on different networks, and your exchange or wallet must send on the network you choose here.

  2. Copy the address and the exact amount

Use the copy buttons or scan the QR code with your wallet app. After pasting, compare the first and last few characters of the address with the checkout page: some malware swaps addresses in the clipboard.

  3. Send the payment

    From an exchange

    1. Open Withdraw and pick the coin.
    2. Choose the same network as on the checkout.
    3. Paste our address.
    4. Enter the amount so that the amount you receive equals the checkout amount.
    5. Confirm with your exchange's security check.

    From a wallet

    1. Open the coin on the right network and tap Send.
    2. Paste our address or scan the QR code.
    3. Enter the exact checkout amount.
    4. Check that you have enough of the network's coin for the fee.
    5. Review and confirm.
  4. Make sure the full amount arrives

Fees are paid by the sender. Exchanges usually take their withdrawal fee from the amount you enter, so if you type exactly the checkout amount, slightly less can arrive. Check the amount you will receive on the withdrawal screen before you confirm. Send it in one transaction.

  5. Wait for confirmations

The checkout page updates by itself as the network confirms your payment. Each network needs a set number of confirmations, listed in the coin table below. You can close the page and come back later through Track order with your order ID.

  6. Get your license

Once the payment is confirmed, we buy your license and email it to you: typically within 2 hours of payment confirmation during support hours (09:00–21:00 UTC), at most 24 hours.

Network fees: which coin pays the fee

Sending from your own wallet? Every network charges its fee in its own coin. To send USDT on Tron, for example, you also need a little TRX in the same wallet. Exchanges handle this for you.

Who pays the fee You do, as the sender. The amount that reaches us must be at least the amount on your checkout page.

If something went wrong

Write to support@unboxkey.com with your order ID and the transaction hash (TxID). The TxID is in your exchange's withdrawal history or your wallet's activity list.

I sent less than the amount shown

We email you to send the rest. We start buying your license once the full amount has arrived. If you would rather cancel, we refund everything you sent, in full.

I sent more than the amount shown

We refund the difference in full, in the same coin, and we pay the network fee for the refund. We email you to ask for the address to send it to.

I sent on the wrong network

Write to us straight away with your order ID and the TxID. Whether the funds can be recovered depends on the network and the address, and in some cases they can't. Crypto transfers can't be reversed by the sender.

I sent a different coin

For example, USDC instead of USDT. Write to us with your order ID and the TxID, and we'll tell you what is possible. Coins and tokens we don't list may not be recoverable.

The timer ran out before I paid

Don't send to an expired checkout: start a new order to get a fresh amount. If you already sent the payment, write to us with your order ID and the TxID.

My payment doesn't show up

Look up your TxID in a block explorer for that network. If the transaction is still pending, it will appear once the network confirms it. If it shows as confirmed and the checkout still doesn't show it, write to us with your order ID and the TxID.

Stay safe
  • Pay only to the address on your checkout page at unboxkey.com. We never ask you to pay through a chat app or social media.
  • Never share your seed phrase or private key. We will never ask for them.
  • Send only the coin and network shown at checkout. Other coins or tokens sent to the address may be lost.
  • Crypto transfers can't be reversed. Check the address, network and amount before you confirm.
